MIXED Nuts — November 27, 2010

MIXED Nuts

moods/happenings/whatsoever on the 27th day of November:

1. i woke up with a human blanket wrapped around me. it was raining this morning but i felt so warm. i hope it happens everyday. nah, not the raining part, of course.

2. i ate overwhelming work for breakfast. heavy. heavier breakfast. really bad for my health.

3. today i’m a floater. my thoughts flew me to places i shouldn’t be. another journey to the pursuit of dopeness.

4. i tried balancing two cups of noodles on a plate. they ended up on the canteen floor.

5. the office couch kept telling me i am in the wrong profession. that’s what it said to me after giving it some warm free hugs.

6. i tried setting up a mathematical formula (for my grading system). it looks like it’s correct, but it doesn’t really work…and so i think it’s flawed even if it really isnt.

7. i saw my college transcript of records again. hahaha. what a beautiful mess.

8. i’m tired but i’m happy. i’m annoyed (of some people) but i’m mushy.

9. this order. disorder.

10. i still feel ecstatic because of our own version of sweet-corny jokes. and its just because of sweet you that i am excusing the world of its annoying behavior. otherwise, i might’ve left a comment on that selfish-bitter post.

goodnight, earthlings. time to hit the bed. tomorrow is sunday and i still have half a ton’s work to do. phew, the life of Jen.

Not Again — November 26, 2010

Not Again

i’m writing this post with only 60% of myself awake. i don’t know. there are just tons of work to do that i feel like a cloud floating on a stormy sky, and i don’t know till when i could be just a floating cloud or should i turn into a storm cloud soon and burst like a mad giant water hose.

stress. anxiety. the world never runs out of those. tell me why.
i cant focus. i wish it’s christmas break already. sigh. i. need. to. breathe.
PHEW! — November 22, 2010

PHEW!

today i said in class: mind your own booger! 😀

maybe they were just picking on the guy who is not in uniform. i’m talking about that booger thing. but i wont spill it out here. its gonna be a secret between me and my BSMT students. and because of that i can say, today, i had fun in class!

well it wasn’t just all fun. today i started to feel that finally, i am picking up the pieces and bits of passion for teaching which was shattered in the past couple of semesters. and i guess i have to thank my technology students for that.

there were other reasons why i was happy today:

1. i found courage to work hard again.

2. i learned not to care about bad things i cannot undo and i learned to make or use them as motivation instead.

3. i am punk again. i get the feeling that master yoda loves me a lot. [eeks. haha].

4. i got better in taptap revenge.

5. i feel so loved and secured, so happy and gay and i really feel ecstatic! 😀

that’s it for today. i have to hit the bed now. goodnight, everyone! 🙂

oh, you know what? i have a matress with a very big print of spongebob. i find it so nickelodeon-ish. i feel like i am a cartoon. 🙂

weekend 837 — November 21, 2010

weekend 837

I had a great weekend.

Why?

Because:

1. i was able to attend a scientific meeting again. Its been a while since i felt that i am a chemist. We had bigtime scientists as lecturers, so I learned a lot of things. Like we, humans are probably microbial in origin; realized that we, who are already humans in the ‘80s get our drinking water straight from the faucet and don’t really get sick often because of it; that the higher rate of disease transmission, the higher the virulence of the microorganisms; and that dengue is the most important arboviral disease in terms of mortality and morbidity, that aedes aegypti is pronounced as aedes eygiptay (haha), that this type of mosquito can fly up to 100 meters only but can go up to the 8th floor by riding an elevator or go to the next barangay by riding a jeepney or even take a taxi sometimes. 😀

I also found the iriga city mayor cool and generous. She gave twenty thousand bucks to the organization which sponsored the activity (PSM), ten thousand pesos for the group who came first (the BU group), ten thousand pesos for the youngest group (students from pisay) and another ten thousand for the group with most number of delegates (Sorsogon State College).

I also cant forget the bio books with cd-rom as give aways to those who could answer the lecturer’s questions. And although i had few moments where i fell asleep, just because i was too tired from school activities and haven’t gotten decent sleep lately, i can say that i really enjoyed the activity.

2. Mushy and i had dinner together, at our secret place. Actually, it’s a resto but people don’t go there that much anymore, and that time we were the only customers. I love it when it’s not crowded or when i don’t know the people there so I can be comfy and homey and just enjoy our dinner. J

3. After having dinner, we went home and watched Marley & Me. It was such a good movie. And a tear jearky like me cried over a dog. Pffft. Mushy laughed at me for being such a cry baby. I cant do any blaming on that laughing. Haha. Who cries over cartoons. Ahaha.

4. After watching the movie, we went to a bar with Joenard (our friend who happens to be my cousin too), Joy (my 1st cousin) and our neighbours. Joy and our neighbours went to the bar first and we waited for Joenard. When he finally arrived, mushy and i went to the gate just to find out that Joy locked it and had the keys with her. So we jumped off the fence (climbed up the gate) so we could get out. What a blast! I never climbed up the gate just to go out for a jam. Mushy did well climbing up. I was able to jump off too but my right knee bumped on the gate’s sharp edges so i had two scratches and bruises. (yeouwch). Anyways, we didn’t had much of booze, just enough to make us tipsy. Get this, too: we went home earlier than my cousin. I asked for the key and walked straight home. When i was about to open the lock, i found out that Joy gave me the wrong key! So there, we don’t have much of a choice but to climb up the gate again. Haha. It wasn’t that easy even for mushy because we’re tipsy and it was really dark already.

5. i was able to beg mushy not to attend the half-day review. Tsk, me bad. (hehe) i asked Mushy to stay, so we could have more quality time together (haha, i cant believe i really said that and that i really used the words quality time. haha). And so we had time together, just browsing stuff in the net, staying in bed, had thumb wrestling, laughed at each other’s jealous moment/stories and just cuddle up. We went for a walk to go to my lolo’s grave and lit a candle. And then we had a longer walk to the town proper to get some food mushy wants and fries which i was craving for since morning. We saw two friends of mushy —- Lei (because we passed by the ‘safe’ street where she lives and they had a short chat about their review centers. But dont ask why i said it’s a safe street, haha) and then we saw Bijo, who ended up having snacks with us, and who cant stop talking about her blooming love story. Hahaha).

6. After we ate, we had to go home already. Me—lola’s house, Mushy—parents’ house. Awww. I miss Mushy already. Mushy didn’t know i came back to the tryke station to have another look before i actually left. Haha. Addictus. Its okay. I just have to spend this night at lola’s again and then we’ll see each other again soon.

I had a great weekend. Thank you mushy for another 24-hours in happily ever after land. J
